Linke: Check out the videos on the OWON site (if they still have them) as they demonstrate how to sue a DSO and are applicable to whichever one you buy.
The scope I bought was just over $500CDN, which is about $300US. It has no mounting holes to go on a wall or stand, but it is very shallow and sits easily on a 6" deep shelf. I love the big display
Keep in mind that the tiny displays on small DSOs are very low-resolution - nothing at all like the display on your phone. However, it will likely be good enough to show you if an amp is clipping symmetrically even if it cannot show good detail about other things.
I've always found Fluke to be over-priced but hear they are robust and reliable. Before buying a hand-held scope, check what the highest range of input is - this is different than the voltage isolation warning emblazoned across the case. Neveltlab above seems to have lots of experience with Fluke and other used gear.
Thanks Kevin, is your OWON one of the bench top or tablet versions?
