Rrecommended Soldering Iron
#18
Hi all,

I have a 20 year old Weller SL40 or SI40, yes it is 40 Watts.
Works fine.

The only thing is that the tips get charcoal or whatever coating after about 15 minutes.
These are tips as sold by Weller itself.
Or Cooper Tools if that is their new name.

Would it be better to buy a station?
