Garnet G100TR
#1
Hello, first post, I'm a hobby builder/Tinkerer Electronics technician

I bought a Garnet Pro 2 Revolution 2 G100TR (45 112 2 6L6 3 12ax7 2 12au7, looks like a 112 pro reverb)

In the small store I bought it from it seamed to work good no noise but couldn't really turn it up other than testing with guitar vol down.

At home I took it apart, I think it has the original preamp tubes and cap can. One of the 12ax7's has a "Garnet" label.

Cap can is a rubycon 20 20 20 20, the only schematic I can find uses multiple models and has a 40 40 20 20. I'm thinking of replacing it with a  CE 40 40 20 20 from NextGen online.

The mesa 6L6GC's the amp came with I think are toast. I measured bias -44V plates 415V one 6L6 draws 24ma the other 32ma

Schematic link from EL34World, I can't get the copy I have to fit here.

I might trace the circuit for a better schematic.

Questions:

1. Shouldn't the 6L6's be drawing about 50ma each if they were good?

2. What is a decent 6L6 brand today? I'm curious about the Ruby JJ's at NextGen, or something else from thetubestore

3. CE cap can from NextGen or something else?
