Yes, PSU-PRE-12 will support the intended tube count. Use the last plate output wiring block for maximum filtering. In your preamp, follow the Galactic ground method shown in TUT3 and you will have a very quiet circuit with best note articulation.
We promote the use of 12V heaters when the tubes allow that option. This places the heater wiring on one side of the tube and none of the wiring to the triodes have to cross it.
I think you should refer to your preamp as a stand-alone bass pre rather than as a D.I. box. In TUTs, I discuss the traditional D.I. boxes which completely disrespect the musician - and it is most commonly used for bass guitar. The direct sound of the instrument is fed to the PA mixer while the sound on stage is processed through your amp. The on-stage sound is what the bass player hears and has tailored, but the front-of-house sound will be something completely different. For this reason, I encourage hobbyists and OEMs to build gear with the "D.I." connection much later in the chain.
You should voice your preamp so that it sounds good through a hifi, say, test it through your stereo. Make sure there is an output level control so that everything up to that point can be made quieter as necessary without changing the tone. Relying instead on an early-Volume or gain control at the front-end of the circuit would mean that the output tone is basically clean without much tube character added.
Our S-PRE bass preamp has a front-end Gain, 3-way EQ and Output level control with a buffered output. Just add TX-XLR to have a transformer-isolated XLR output.
